Dewsbury Rams can announce that the club has taken the second year option on second-row Chris Annakin’s contract.
Annakin a Rams fan joined his hometown team on a permanent basis in 2020 signing a two year deal.
The 29 year old is one of the most experienced players in the division and has played in the Betfred Super League.
Annakin who was overjoyed to join the team he supports is also happy to stay at the club for next year.
On being able to keep Annakin, head coach Lee Greenwood said: “Chris is a very important part of what we stand for at Dewsbury Rams now.
“He enjoys it here and he is a great influence on the rest of the squad, a real leader through his actions.
“With plenty of player movement going on between clubs, it was our priority to try and keep our best players here and Chris is certainly one of those.”
