When the 2019 season ended for the Rams in September most already started looking forward to the boxing day battle with our nearest & dearest from across the valley.

However this festive season provides a desert to supplement the main course!

On Sunday 29th December the Yorkshire cup final will see Mirfield Stags take on Drighlington at the LD Nutrition stadium home of Featherstone Rovers. Drighlington is coached by our very own Martyn Reilly.

It is a magnificent achievement by both sides as these showpiece finals are usually contested by the traditional big guns of the amateur game.

The final kicks off at 13:30 hours with admission attractively priced at £5 Adults, £3 Concessions & Under 16’s admitted free. For those who need even more action to feed their appetite the game is preceded by the Under 18 County final between Hull Dockers & Lock Lane at 11:30 am whilst following the open age final will be the ladies origin game between Yorkshire & Lancashire at 15:30 hours.

Best wishes to both sides on the day from all at Dewsbury Rams on what must surely be the biggest game in their club’s history.
