Rams Welcome Bulls For Next Two Years

Dewsbury Rams can today confirm that, subject to RFL approval, Bradford Bulls will play their “home” games at the Tetley’s Stadium for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

As the Bulls have stated through the weekly column of Chairman Andrew Chalmers, the cost of staying at Odsal have become unsustainable. Their search for a new home in Bradford has already begun and negotiations are under way with various parties. While this process is taking place the Bulls will move their home match day operations to our stadium here at Dewsbury.

Chairman Mark Sawyer said “It is important that we help such an iconic club as Bradford through this transitional period. We have negotiated mutually acceptable terms for the use of the Tetley’s Stadium as well as protecting our own interests in this two year period.

“Our current capacity is capable of coping with the demands of Championship Rugby League and should the Bulls be successful in obtaining promotion then we already have plans on how the ground capacity can be increased to meet Super League standards”.

“We hope our own supporters will welcome this move since it helps to underpin what we are doing here at Dewsbury as well as providing a sustainable basis for Bradford.”

Ironically the Rams next home game is against the Bradford Bulls and we hope that Bulls fans make the trip over in numbers to have a look at their home for the next two seasons.

We will provide a further update in due course.
