Delaney pleased with recent form

Dewsbury Rams player Brad Delaney has been pleased with his recent form having scored three tries in his last two games.

Delaney crossed the line twice away at Sheffield and then scored again at home to Barrow last Sunday when the Rams won 32-12 on the day.

On his try scoring exploits he said: “It’s always good to get on the score sheet, it helps when you have wingers like Rob (Worrincy) and Dale (Morton) making breaks like they do.

“I just try to push with them just in case they get that arm free for an offload, I try to use my speed as much as I can, so backing players up is something I am always looking to do, you never know when they will get an arm free. Hopefully I can get some more tries in before the season finishes.”

On the victory over Barrow, Delaney commented: “It was great to get the win over Barrow even though it was a scrappy one, but a win’s a win. We dug deep when we needed to.”

Delaney has previously played for the Rams, but says this time around he is learning more about the game and his position than ever before.

“I am really enjoying playing at this level, I think I have grown up and learnt a lot from when I was last at the Rams.” He said.

Continuing: “I have still a lot to work on to improve my game but with help from the coaching staff and players I think I can make that improvement.”

Finally Delaney talked about the up and coming game against Featherstone Rovers, saying that it will be a tough challenge for the team, but they are going into the fixture full of confidence.

He said: “The Featherstone game is going to be a tough one, we will have to fix a few things going in to this game. They had a good result last week, but with the wins we have had lately I am confident we can turn them over.”
