Rams back British Heart Foundation

Dewsbury Rams are backing the British Heart Foundation by asking supporters to bring any old unwanted clothes or objects that you would normally take to a charity shop to the ground on Sunday.

On Sunday the Rams will play Barrow Raiders in the Betfred Championship shield, and we are encouraging Barrow fans as well as Dewsbury fans to help us support the charity.

The British Heart Foundation is a charity that has a big standing in Rugby League, and has helped many players down the years.

Supporters will be able to put any unwanted clothes or items such as shoes or bags into two bins that have been supplied by the foundation. These bins will be situated outside the ground on the north and south sides of the stadium near the emergency gates.

Dewsbury Rams media manager Steven Downes said of the scheme: “We are delighted that we can support the British Heart Foundation in this venture. Rugby League has a close relationship to the charity and we think as a club it is important to support it.

“Fans from both Dewsbury and Barrow are encouraged to donate as much clothing as possible, and to bring that on Sunday to place into the bins.”
