Grassroots: All four NCL sides in action tomorrow, Celtic make TV debut

All four of our town’s National Conference League sides are back in action this weekend.

In Division One, league leaders Thornhill Trojans host fourth-placed Featherstone Lions. Victory for Trojans would take them a step closer to achieving their objective of promotion to the top level.

However, the Lions are in good form and recorded an impressive win against third-placed Castleford Lock Lane on their last outing.

At the other end of the table, Shaw Cross Sharks face a crucial fixture in their battle for survival when Oulton Raiders are their visitors.

Following a recent revival, the Sharks are up to ninth and they can put further space between themselves and the teams in the bottom three with victory over their neighbours from Leeds.

In Division Two, Dewsbury Moor will be eager to maintain the pressure on the teams at the top of the table when they host Saddleworth Rangers.

Moor are third, level on points with Crosfields in second, and four points behind leaders Stanningley.

Finally, in Division Three, three coaches of supporters will head to Beverley to see Dewsbury Celtic make their TV debut.

Celtic face the league leaders in front of the FreeSports cameras. The game kicks off at 15.05.

FreeSports is available on Freeview channel 95, Sky 422, Virgin Media 130, Freesat 252, TalkTalk 95, BT 95 and on the TV Player app.
