Dewsbury Rams new signing Adam Ryder was pleased to get his first run out on the Tetley’s stadium pitch last Sunday when the Rams defeated Barrow 22-20 in a crucial Betfred Championship game.
Ryder who was signed from Keighley and plays as a centre says that he is excited to step up into a higher division with the Rams.
He said: “It was a tough game to come into against a big strong Barrow side but it was great to get the win.
“There were times where I thought I was off the pace but that will come in time as I learn to get up to the pace of this league.”
On the game coming up on Sunday against Sheffield Eagles, 12pm kick-off, Ryder is confident going into the fixtures.
He commented: “We just need to take it game by game and not get too far ahead of ourselves, it will be a tough fixture at Sheffield. It’ll be good if we can beat them and put in a similar performance as what we did against Barrow, and then move up the table a bit more.”
