Dewsbury Rams have confirmed the signing of Wales international scrum-half Danny Ansell.
Ansell, 26, arrives at The Tetley’s Stadium on a contract until the end of the season after having previously joined Swinton Lions ahead of the 2018 campaign.
The former Hunslet player, who is a product of the Stanley Rangers community club, was named in the Wales squad at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
He also previously played in the Academy set-ups of Wakefield Trinity and Huddersfield Giants.
“I am really pleased to move to Dewsbury,” said Ansell.
“It has all come around a bit sudden, but I am delighted to have signed on here.
“I’ve had some good times at Wakefield, Huddersfield and Hunslet, and I’m just really pleased that I can now sign for a club such as Dewsbury.
“I came here when Dewsbury played Swinton in what was a really tough encounter, and I can’t wait to get going in a Rams shirt now.
“I’m a hardworking player, and I like to be creative too, so I will just be trying to help the lads as much as possible.”
