Esposito released by Rams Story in brief:
Italian international moves on

Prop forward Dario Esposito has been released from his contract with Dewsbury Rams in order to take up an offer to join the Rams' Kingstone Press Championship rivals Sheffield Eagles.

Esposito arrived in the close season from York City Knights with the aim of cementing a regular place in the starting line-up.

However, the Italian international was unavailable for part of the pre-season training and also for the Boxing Day friendly against Batley, having arranged a holiday over the festive period.

This set Esposito back in his preparations, with others having already staked a place ahead of him.

Dario has since opted not to stay and fight for a place and, after he expressed a desire to go elsewhere, the Rams thought it best not to stand in the way of a player who doesn't wish to be at the club.

Esposito has therefore been released with immediate effect.

We would like to wish Dario all the best at the Eagles and in his future endeavours.
